Joanne excelled at coming up with new ideas, finding the right people to talk to within extremely tight daily deadlines, extracting focused stories and information and producing top-quality background material and scripts. This is not a job for people who need to be constantly directed or supervised and Joanne handled the demands well. Her flexibility and resourcefulness were useful in clearing the myriad of hurdles that can arise in putting a two-hour program to air every day.

Joanne set a very high personal and journalistic standards for the program and herself. She has a natural sense of storytelling. She knows how and where to get the story. Her contribution to the Double Exposure series was, without exception, excellent and always delivered quality stories and story materials on time.

Her skills combine strong journalistic standards with witty and clear writing and an inventive visual sense. She can also respond to the pressures of tight timelines, solving problems quickly and inventively.
